Todd and Julie Chrisley Set to Return to Reality TV After Presidential Pardon
Recently, Todd and Julie Chrisley received a full pardon from former President Donald Trump, allowing them to rejoin the world of reality television. The couple is set to appear in a new docuseries titled "The Untitled Chrisleys Project," which was confirmed by the Lifetime network ahead of their release from prison.
The upcoming series aims to document how their children—Savannah, Chase, Grayson, Chloe, and Nanny Faye—managed family life during Todd and Julie’s time in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion. Originally, the couple wasn’t expected to take part in the show given their incarceration. However, their release following Trump’s pardon has changed that.
Savannah, visibly excited while waiting for her father’s release from the Pensacola, Florida federal prison, shared with reporters, "We have a new show coming out on Lifetime, and it will document all of these things. We’re excited… It’s all God and President Trump at this point."
In recent months, the family faced numerous challenges, including maintaining their family legacy while only being able to communicate with Todd and Julie through phone calls and brief visits.
While serving their time—Todd for 12 years and Julie for 7 years—their daughter Savannah stepped up to care for her younger siblings. She had long advocated for a presidential pardon for her parents.
Sources reveal that filming for the docuseries is ongoing and will adapt to the evolving circumstances in the Chrisley family following the pardon. They aim to share their authentic journey with viewers.
Todd and Julie were found guilty of defrauding banks out of over $30 million and were sentenced in 2022. After an indictment in 2019, they were convicted earlier this year for the multiple charges, including conspiring to defraud the IRS.
Now, as they transition back into public life, the Chrisleys hope to reconnect with their audience while sharing the ups and downs of their unique experience. After being released, both Todd and Julie have been seen out and about, ready to take on the next chapter of life.
This return to reality TV not only reflects the resilience of the Chrisley family but also highlights the importance of second chances, especially in today’s challenging landscape.
