Todd and Julie Chrisley, known for their reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” are celebrating the holidays at home, a welcome change after a trying time. The couple was released in May, thanks to pardons from President Donald Trump.
In 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of federal bank fraud and tax evasion. They maintained their innocence throughout the ordeal. After serving 28 months of their sentences, the Chrisleys are now looking forward to spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with their family.
“Being together again is what matters most,” Todd Chrisley said. Julie is already busy decorating for Christmas. They are grateful to be back, doing what they love, with their family.
Julie echoed Todd’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of family during the holidays. They have been married since 1996 and share children Chase, Grayson, and Savannah. Todd also has two children, Lindsie and Kyle, from a previous marriage.
Last year, Savannah spoke about the difficulty of spending the holidays without her parents. She has been a vocal advocate for their release. Now, the family is whole again, ready to embrace their traditions.
Savannah actively campaigned for her parents’ pardons, engaging with officials and using her platform to highlight what she saw as injustices in their case.
Todd recounted a call with President Trump after their release, where Trump congratulated them and wished them a wonderful life. Julie mentioned that they plan to host their family in Nashville for the holidays.
Looking ahead, Todd shared that Julie is planning a cooking show. Julie helped plan the family’s Thanksgiving dinner from prison last year, showing that even in hard times, she was thinking of her family.
The Chrisleys have returned to reality TV with “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.” They are sticking to their usual holiday traditions this year, cherishing every moment after their time apart.
The experience has changed their approach to parenting. Julie noted that their children had to grow up quickly while they were away. Todd added that he sees his adult children in a new light.
The Chrisleys eventually plan to settle in Charleston, South Carolina, but will first move to Texas for filming. Todd hopes their children and his mother will live with them in their “forever compound.”
