Chris Hemsworth, a well-known actor in Hollywood, recently shared that he felt nervous about working with the talented Halle Berry in their latest movie, Crime 101. During a presentation at Amazon MGM Studios’ CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas, Hemsworth, who is 41, admitted that he was a bit intimidated to act alongside Berry, a respected veteran in the industry.
He expressed his admiration for Halle, stating, “I’ve admired Halle’s work for many years. I was obviously very intimidated to sit opposite her within a scene and try and not just be in awe of what she was doing.” However, he quickly noted that Berry made him feel at ease while filming.
Hemsworth explained, “Certain people just bring out not just the best in you, but also a comfort level where it feels like it’s a place to explore different ideas. That was my experience with Halle, and I loved every second of it.”
Halle Berry, 58, seemed to share a similar sentiment, saying Hemsworth is now one of her favorite people. She praised him for being a “stand-up guy,” mentioning a moment during filming where he stood up for her, which deepened her respect for him.
Their new movie, Crime 101, is based on a novella by Don Winslow. In this thriller, Berry plays an insurance broker drawn into a major heist led by Hemsworth’s character, a skilled jewel thief. The film also features Mark Ruffalo as an LAPD detective on the trail of Hemsworth’s character.
In other recent headlines, Hemsworth shared a humorous recollection about a memorable moment when he met singer Billie Eilish at the Oscars. He joked about feeling awkward after asking her for a selfie, but he felt it was worth it for his kids’ delight. “I went from work colleague to now like a fan,” Hemsworth noted, showcasing his light-hearted take on celebrity encounters.
