The family of the 19-year-old twins, Qaadir and Naazir Lewis, who were found dead on Bell Mountain, is seeking answers from authorities after viewing new surveillance footage. This video shows the brothers at a Shell Gas station in Lawrenceville, Georgia, just hours before their bodies were discovered.
Their aunt, Yasmine Brawner, shared the footage online, highlighting that the twins were seen buying snacks and drinking water at the station around 10:30 PM, dressed casually. The family learned that the twins had originally planned to travel to Boston but missed their flight due to an Uber mishap.
Questions are piling up for the family, such as how the twins managed to drive to the secured area of Bell Mountain, which closes its gates at 9 PM. “They were pretty much just going about their normal routine,” Yasmine said.
Despite the new evidence, the medical examiner has not yet provided an official ruling on the cause of death, stating that further tests are needed. Initial reports from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) suggested that the deaths might be a murder-suicide, a claim contested by the family.
“My nephews wouldn’t do this! They had dreams and a future ahead of them,” Yasmine emphasized. She noted the twins had no ties to Bell Mountain, located about 90 miles from their home.
Family members are adamant about uncovering the truth, expressing their desire for closure. They have created the hashtag #JusticeForQaadirAndNaazir to raise awareness about their case.
“We believe something serious happened at Bell Mountain that led to the tragic end of their lives,” Yasmine stated, urging for a deeper investigation into the incident.
