ATLANTA — A representative for reality TV star Chase Chrisley is speaking out against accusations that he assaulted a sports bar manager in Atlanta. According to the representative, the incident has been exaggerated.
Chase Chrisley, known from the show “Chrisley Knows Best,” was reportedly at a Twin Peaks restaurant on January 6 when he was said to be intoxicated and refused to exit when asked by the manager. An Atlanta police report describes that he allegedly slapped the manager twice, including once when the manager was on the phone with emergency services.
In a statement released on Monday, Chrisley’s representative, Adam Ambrose, emphasized that Chase had called a driver to take him home that night. “He did not assault anyone. Chase was simply trying to settle his bill and leave,” Ambrose shared.
The police report noted that the manager described Chrisley, who is 28 years old, as behaving “very disrespectfully and belligerently,” leading to the escalation that resulted in the alleged slapping. Chrisley reportedly left the scene with a driver before police arrived. He was later arrested and released on a $10,000 bond for suspicion of simple battery.
Adding to the family’s legal troubles, Chase’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, are currently serving time in prison after being convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion. In a 2022 trial, the couple was found guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks out of over $30 million through fraudulent loans and were also accused of hiding their income to evade taxes.
