Cassie Ventura Testifies About Alleged Abuse in Court
In a poignant moment during her testimony, Cassie Ventura opened up about her struggles and emotional pain stemming from her past relationship with Sean "Diddy" Combs. She shared with the jury that she even thought about ending her life while her children were just a room away from her due to painful flashbacks of the abuse she claims to have endured.
On May 13, Ventura spoke in a Manhattan courtroom. This was part of Combs’ ongoing trial where he faces serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all accusations.
Ventura described their decade-long, tumultuous relationship as filled with mental, physical, and sexual abuse. She detailed various incidents, including being coerced into unwanted sexual acts.
In 2018, Ventura claims Combs raped her, which marked the end of their relationship. Shortly after, she met her current husband, Alex Fine, and the couple now has two daughters and is expecting a third child.
However, Ventura revealed that the years after her split from Combs were not easy. She spoke about grappling with her trauma in court, mentioning that in 2023, she started experiencing suicidal thoughts. "I was spinning out," she explained, expressing how overwhelming her pain had become.
She recalled a particularly harrowing night in March 2023 when she attempted to walk into traffic, believing her family would be better off without her. Fortunately, her husband Fine was there to stop her from making that irreversible decision. He has been present in court to support her throughout this difficult process.
Ventura is scheduled to return to court on Thursday.
