A car crash at a children’s birthday party in Bladensburg, Maryland, hurt at least 11 people.
On Saturday night, around 10:14 p.m., police were called to a neighborhood because a car had hit a group of people.
According to the Bladensburg Police Department, the car came from Annapolis Road and crashed into people who were at a birthday party in front of a house.
The police say the driver ran away after the crash. They are still trying to find out who the driver is.
Among the injured were children between the ages of two and nine. All 11 people were taken to nearby hospitals.
The Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department said they sent help to the scene. They treated 11 people, including a teenage girl and a baby, who are both in very bad condition.
The other people hurt were two women, four boys, and three girls. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
The Bladensburg Police Department is in charge of the investigation. They are asking anyone who knows anything about the crash to call them at 301-864-6080.
Police from Prince George’s County also helped at the scene. Annapolis Road was closed from 57th Avenue to Landover Road while they investigated.
Right now, it’s not clear what caused the crash.
