A significant piece of a retired jumbo jet, which once served as a party venue at the 2017 Burning Man Festival, is set for a new chapter just off the Las Vegas Strip.
Recently, the cockpit and a section of the fuselage from a Boeing 747 were moved from their previous location at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a vibrant entertainment district known as AREA15. This district is known for its immersive art experiences, such as the popular Meow Wolf installation.
The organizers have plans to reimagine the aircraft as a unique event and nightlife venue within AREA15. Pearl Verzosa, the marketing director for the district, expressed excitement over the project. She highlighted the goal of celebrating the arts community through innovative and engaging experiences. “We want to create a space where families, friends, and partners can come together and enjoy themselves,” she stated. She believes that the airplane will become a standout attraction in the area.
As this repurposed jet takes on a new life, it stands as a testament to the creativity and resilience of the community, embodying a spirit of fun and connection.
