Bruce Springsteen, widely known as “The Boss,” is set to delight his fans with the release of seven new studio albums titled “Tracks II: The Lost Albums” on June 27. This exciting announcement reveals a collection of music that has been written and re-recorded over the last few decades, specifically between 1983 and 2018.
The news broke on Springsteen’s Instagram, where he shared that this 83-song compilation consists mostly of previously unreleased tracks, with a remarkable 74 songs that have never been heard before. The box set will also include a 100-page hardcover book, adding to its allure for fans and collectors alike.
In a short video shared on social media, Springsteen reflected on how he dedicated time during the COVID-19 pandemic to finish “everything I had in my vault.” He described “The Lost Albums” as collections that were fully produced, with some tracks even being mixed yet never officially released.
Just a day before the big reveal, Springsteen hinted at the upcoming release. A video he posted contained the phrase “What was lost has been found,” along with the specific date, April 3, 2025, sparking anticipation among his followers.
This new project, “Tracks II,” is a follow-up to his original “Tracks” album, which was released back in 1998 and showcased a 4-CD, 66-song assortment of unreleased music.
Springsteen’s last studio album, “Only the Strong Survive,” was released in 2022 and featured covers of classics from legendary artists like the Four Tops and the Temptations. The late soul icon Sam Moore also contributed to two tracks on that album.
“I wanted to make an album where I just sang,” Springsteen expressed at the time, emphasizing his enjoyment of working with the timeless music from the Sixties and Seventies.
Looking ahead, Springsteen and the E Street Band are gearing up for an extensive tour across Europe and the U.K., starting May 17 in Manchester, England, and wrapping up on July 3 in Milan, Italy, at the prestigious San Siro Stadium. Fans are eagerly awaiting not only the release of the new albums but also the chance to experience Springsteen’s music live once again.
