Britney Spears is speaking out against her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, as he prepares to release his memoir, titled “You Thought You Knew.”
Federline’s book contains some troubling claims about Spears, including an accusation that she once struck their son.
Spears responded to these allegations, accusing Federline of trying to make money off of her difficulties and “gaslighting” her. She expressed her desire to be loved without conditions and without having to be perfect.
Spears also questioned Federline’s anger, suggesting that he is not being truthful. She believes that Federline’s memoir will likely be more successful than her own book, “The Woman in Me,” which was released last year.
She emphasized that if someone truly loves another person, they wouldn’t try to humiliate them. Spears feels that Federline’s anger is much more intense than people realize and that her son harbors deep resentment towards her.
Spears and Federline were married for three years before divorcing in 2006. They have two sons together. Federline’s memoir reportedly expresses concerns about Spears’ behavior and its impact on their children after the divorce.
Spears has stated that she has “pleaded” for a relationship with her sons. She feels demoralized by the situation and believes her sons have witnessed a lack of respect from their father towards her. She added that they need to take responsibility for their own actions.
Spears also dismissed what she calls “white lies” in Federline’s book, suggesting they are motivated by financial gain. She maintained that she will always love her sons and urged people to disregard tabloid rumors about her mental health and drinking habits. She described herself as an intelligent woman who has been trying to live a private life.
