It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Brad Arnold, the voice and heart of the rock band 3 Doors Down. After a courageous fight with cancer, Arnold passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7th, at the age of 47.
Arnold was a founding member of the band. His songs often explored themes of everyday life and faith, resonating deeply with a wide audience. It’s a testament to the power of music, and the connection it provides, that his work touched so many.
His bandmates remember him not only for his musical talent but also for his kindness, humor, and unwavering faith. Arnold was a devoted husband to his wife, Jennifer, and a man who cherished his family and friends above all else.
The band’s statement highlighted how his music created “moments of connection, joy, faith, and shared experiences.” His hit song “Kryptonite,” penned as a teenager, became an anthem for a generation.
In May of 2025, Arnold revealed he was battling stage 4 cancer. Despite the diagnosis, he faced the challenge with courage and a message of hope, reassuring fans that he wasn’t afraid.
3 Doors Down, formed in 1996, quickly rose to fame with their debut album “The Better Life.” Their music has left a lasting impact on the rock scene.
Arnold’s family is grateful for the outpouring of support during this difficult time and asks for privacy as they mourn their loss. He will be deeply missed.
