A shooting occurred at a Boosie Badazz concert in Akron, Ohio, resulting in two individuals suffering from critical injuries.
According to reports from the Akron Police Department, a fight broke out during the performance at FieldHouse Lounge. An unidentified man reportedly fired several shots, hitting the victims before fleeing the scene.
Off-duty officers who were providing security at the event called for backup around 2:00 a.m. local time. Two men, aged 18 and 36, were discovered with apparent gunshot wounds and were quickly taken to the hospital in critical condition. A third man, aged 25, arrived at a local hospital with a minor gunshot wound.
Deputy Chief Michael Miller of the Akron Police shared that the shooter likely slipped through a blind spot before firing at least one shot while Boosie was performing on stage. Videos shared on social media show the rapper running off stage after hearing a loud bang.
The FieldHouse Lounge expressed its sorrow over the incident in a statement, offering condolences to the victims and their families. They emphasized their commitment to ensuring the safety of their guests and promised to take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
This incident follows a previous shooting at another concert in August where Boosie also performed, raising concerns about safety at live events.
