Good News for Michael Bolton Fans: Singer’s Daughters Share Encouraging Health Update
Michael Bolton, the well-known singer, is facing a tough battle with glioblastoma, a rare type of brain cancer. But there’s good news: his daughters recently shared a positive update on his health.
Bolton, who is 72 years old and has won two Grammy Awards, was diagnosed in December 2023. He had surgery to remove the tumor. In January 2024, he had a second surgery because of an infection. He finished radiation and chemotherapy in October. Now, he gets regular check-ups to make sure the tumor hasn’t come back.
Bolton’s daughters, Isa, Holly, and Taryn, are taking care of him. They told AARP that their dad is doing well. Isa said that he’s in good spirits and health. She also said that while there are good and bad days, he’s generally strong, and his mind and body are working well.
Bolton himself said he’s grateful for the time he’s spending with his family, including his daughters and six grandchildren. He said that this past year has been hard but it has helped him appreciate the simple things in life.
Bolton’s daughters are helping him with his daily needs, giving him emotional support, and managing his medical care. Taryn and her daughters live with Bolton, while Isa spends time there during the week. Holly travels from California to help each month.
Bolton said that having his daughters by his side means everything to him. He explained that they keep him grounded, help him stay positive, and remind him of what’s important in life.
Isa mentioned that caring for Bolton has been challenging. She said that he had a personality change after his surgery, but he’s now back to his usual self. She also said that being a caregiver has changed her relationship with her father in a good way.
Bolton is thankful for the support he’s received from his fans. He said that their messages and prayers have helped him during difficult times. He believes that everyone is connected and that no one has to face life’s challenges alone.
