Susan Flannery is Moving to Australia
Susan Flannery, an iconic soap opera star, is making a significant life change by relocating to Australia. Her longtime friend and fellow actress, Susan Seaforth Hayes, shared this news on social media.
On August 5, Seaforth Hayes, 82, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, confirming that Flannery, who is 86, is leaving Los Angeles to start a new chapter in Australia. To celebrate this occasion, she shared nostalgic photos of herself, Flannery, and another co-star, Suzanne Rogers, from their early days on the soap Days of Our Lives alongside recent pictures of the trio.
In her post, Seaforth Hayes wrote, “3 Susies have breakfast at Art’s Deli. The occasion: Susan Flannery, one of the great ladies of daytime, is moving to Australia.” She reminisced about Flannery serving as a mentor and friend during their time on the show, expressing how much they will miss her.
It seems this move has been in the works for some time. Katherine Kelly Lang, another co-star from The Bold and the Beautiful, hinted at Flannery’s departure in July. Lang and fellow actress Ashley Jones even threw a goodbye party for Flannery to celebrate her move.
Flannery has long been recognized as a legend in daytime television. She starred in nearly 4,000 episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful and over 1,100 episodes of Days of Our Lives. Her outstanding work earned her ten Emmy nominations and she made history by becoming the first actress to win a Lead Actress award for two different roles on two separate soap operas.
Beyond her soap opera fame, Flannery has also appeared in other popular shows such as Dallas, Hope & Faith, and The Young and the Restless. As she embarks on this exciting new journey, her friends and fans wish her all the best in her new home.
