Bob Bryar, the former drummer of the popular rock band My Chemical Romance, has sadly passed away at the age of 44. The news was confirmed by the band, who expressed their need for privacy as they come to terms with this loss.
Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, taking over from drummer Matt Pelissier. He was part of the group during their rise to fame, contributing to their landmark album, “The Black Parade.” He departed from the band in 2010 and later stepped away from the music industry. In a notable act of philanthropy, Bryar auctioned off a drum set with the proceeds going to an animal adoption center in Williamson County, Tennessee.
Next year, My Chemical Romance is scheduled to go on a 10-date stadium tour across North America, where they will perform “The Black Parade” in its entirety.
My Chemical Romance formed in 2001 and gained popularity with their album “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge” in 2004. After announcing their breakup in 2013, the band released a greatest hits album called “May Death Never Stop You.” They reunited in 2019, revealing they had secretly come back together two years prior.
