Bindi and Robert Irwin are honoring their late father, Steve Irwin, on what would have been his 63rd birthday. The siblings shared heartfelt messages on social media, reminiscing about the conservationist and beloved television personality.
On Saturday, February 22, Bindi, age 26, posted a touching photo of herself as a child kissing her father. She accompanied the image with a heartfelt message, saying, “Happy Birthday, Dad. To the world, you will forever be remembered as the greatest Wildlife Warrior. To me, you’ll always be the most incredible dad and now our family’s guiding light. I love you and I miss you every day.”
In addition to her main post, Bindi used Instagram Stories to share another childhood photo of herself sitting on her father’s lap by the sea, adding another birthday wish for her dad.
Robert, 21, also paid tribute to their father by sharing a nostalgic photo of Steve holding a crocodile in the forest. In his post, he wrote, “Always my greatest inspiration.” Their mother, Terri Irwin, replied to Robert’s post with a comment expressing her love.
Terri also shared a tribute to Steve on her own Instagram page, posting a black-and-white photo of him smiling with a crocodile, captioned, “Happy birthday.”
Steve Irwin, who was known for his adventurous spirit and dedication to wildlife conservation, passed away in 2006 at the age of 44 due to a tragic accident while filming in Australia. He left behind his wife, Terri, and their two children, Bindi and Robert.
Recently, Bindi opened up about her grief during a podcast interview, discussing how the feelings of loss have evolved for her. She emphasized that while time has changed her emotions, the love and memories of her father still remain deeply rooted in her heart. Bindi expressed her desire to honor her father’s legacy by continuing his work in wildlife conservation and making him proud.
