A doctor from Beverly Hills faces serious charges, including drugging and raping a female employee. Authorities suspect that there may be more victims connected to this case.
Babak Hajhosseini, who established the Wound and Burn Centers of America, was arrested on November 26. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has charged him with sexually assaulting someone who was unconscious.
At 42 years old, Hajhosseini was released on bail just a few days later, on November 29. However, a grand jury indicted him on December 23, with multiple counts, including two counts of rape involving drugs and one count of assaulting an unconscious person.
According to police, Hajhosseini, who also served as a visiting doctor at Catalina Island Health, allegedly lured employees to his home with offers of extra pay. In one incident, he is accused of pressuring a female staff member to consume alcohol until she passed out, after which he reportedly recorded himself assaulting her.
Law enforcement believes that, while he is currently charged with one offense, there could be other victims who have yet to come forward. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information to contact them.
Hajhosseini has pleaded not guilty to these accusations. His attorney has publicly denied the charges, calling them false and sensationalized. He emphasized that Hajhosseini has passed a lie detector test and insists the matter should be resolved in court based on evidence rather than media speculation.
Hajhosseini is looking forward to proving his innocence.
