Ben Affleck was spotted engaging in a lively discussion with police while sitting in his car on Tuesday. This occurred just two days after FBI agents visited his Brentwood home.
According to sources, Affleck was conversing with officers regarding a neighbor who had hired private security. The security personnel were reportedly preventing people, including Affleck, from returning to their residences. Affleck made it clear to the police that private security should not be enforcing such restrictions.
The police presence in Affleck’s neighborhood is heightened due to his proximity to the mandatory evacuation zones surrounding the ongoing Palisades Fire. During the exchange with officers, Affleck was seen animatedly gesturing from his driver’s side window before he eventually drove away.
It’s notable that while the FBI was seen at Affleck’s property, they stated that he is not in any trouble. The agency’s activities were related to assisting in locating an unauthorized drone in the area affected by the fire.
Affleck wasn’t at home during the FBI visit and the agents left without incident. His ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, who also lives nearby, has spoken about the devastating impacts of the fire, expressing concern for friends who have lost their homes in the disaster.
Recently, Affleck was photographed sharing a warm moment with his eldest child, daughter Violet, outside his current residence, which he is renting. It is known that he had previously purchased a new home in the Pacific Palisades for over $20 million, which reportedly withstood the fire’s devastation.
The Palisades Fire continues to wreak havoc, now reported as 19% contained, having scorched over 23,000 acres, destroyed nearly 2,200 structures, and tragically claiming eight lives.
