A worker at a Jersey Mike’s Subs in Navarre, Florida, discovered a desperate note in the restroom, which led authorities to rescue a woman reported to be held captive by her boyfriend for several months.
The note, hidden by a toilet paper dispenser, asked for help and included an address. The employee, Eleanor Coffee, noticed it and immediately contacted the police. “It looked like trash at first, but when I read it, I realized how serious it was,” she said.
When deputies arrived at the given address, they found a 29-year-old woman with visible injuries. She revealed that her boyfriend, 34-year-old Jordan Williams, had been physically abusing her and isolating her. The authorities reported that she had suffered multiple assaults, threats with weapons, and serious injuries requiring medical attention, including suspected broken bones.
Williams, a local wrestler known as “Jayden Steele,” was arrested at the scene. He faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, kidnapping, and battery. Records indicate that he had a history of domestic abuse incidents.
Williams is currently held at the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond, with his arraignment set for June 19.
