Former NFL Player Adam "Pacman" Jones Faces Multiple Charges After Arrest
Adam "Pacman" Jones, the former NFL star, has been charged with assaulting a police officer, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct following an arrest near Cincinnati. The incident occurred in Covington, Kentucky, early on Saturday, June 7.
Police have not disclosed the exact circumstances leading to his arrest. A spokesperson for the Covington Police Department confirmed the charges, stating that Jones is accused of assaulting one of their officers.
Records indicate that the 41-year-old Jones was booked into Kenton County Jail around 1:51 a.m. and later released on a $10,000 bond by 11:30 a.m.
This is not Jones’s first run-in with the law. He has faced several arrests over the past few years, including past charges that involved public intoxication and assault. In November 2021, he was arrested in Arlington, Texas, where he faced similar charges after an altercation at a boxing match.
In 2023, Jones was also taken into custody after causing a disturbance at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, resulting in misdemeanor charges. He later accepted a plea deal for that incident.
Jones, picked sixth overall in the 2005 NFL draft, spent most of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals and has been temporarily suspended at various points during his time in the league. His recent legal troubles have drawn public attention, highlighting the challenges he continues to face off the field.
