Adam Brody is attracting a lot of attention after the success of his new romantic comedy, Nobody Wants This. At the Golden Globes First-time Nominees Luncheon, he discussed how this project has transformed his career. The 45-year-old actor revealed that since starring in the hit Netflix series, his email inbox has been busier than ever.
In this series created by Erin Foster, Brody plays Noah, a newly single rabbi who crosses paths with Joanne, played by Kristen Bell. Joanne is a single sex podcaster searching for love, and their meeting through mutual friends leads to some intriguing moments.
While Brody hasn’t yet decided on his next role, he emphasized the importance of quality writing, saying that anyone would be lucky to be part of a well-scripted project. He shared his thoughts on the upcoming season two, noting that he hasn’t seen the scripts yet and prefers to avoid thinking about it too much ahead of time.
Reflecting on the enjoyment of filming, he admitted it was a lot of fun and praised the good company he had during production. He was genuinely surprised by the broad appeal of the show, noting how pleasant it was to discover that many people enjoy it.
Brody also talked about the reactions to his character’s charming persona, the "Hot Rabbi." Although he doesn’t often hear that nickname in person, he finds it amusing to see it circulate online. He recalled initial moments from shooting where the direction of a key scene was described as "the greatest of all time," which he found both interesting and flattering.
As season one of Nobody Wants This continues to become a hit, fans can look forward to more from Brody and the cast in this heartfelt series now available on Netflix.
