Phil Robertson’s family has shared an important update about his health. During the December 6 episode of the podcast “Unashamed with the Robertson Family,” Jase Robertson revealed that his father is facing health challenges, specifically in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
Jase, who is 55 years old, expressed concern over his father’s condition, noting that doctors believe Phil has a blood disease that is causing various health issues. “Phil’s not doing well,” Jase said, adding that the disease is rapidly progressing and affecting his father’s overall health.
At 78 years old, Phil Robertson is not only a father to Jase, but also to his other sons Al, Jep, and Willie, along with a daughter named Phyllis. Jase mentioned that although Phil has a desire to stay active and return to work, he is struggling significantly. “He can barely walk around without feeling pain, and his memory is failing,” Jase pointed out, reflecting on the tough reality of his father’s situation.
Currently, Phil is part of the podcast team, but he did not make an appearance in this episode. Jase shared that the family is doing everything they can to support him, including working with a team of doctors to find ways to keep him comfortable and possibly assist with memory issues.
Despite the overwhelming nature of the diagnosis, Jase remains committed to caring for his father and ensuring he has the best support possible during this difficult time. The family is facing a challenging road ahead, but their love and dedication to one another shines through.
