ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Asheville Police Department is seeking help from the public following a shooting that occurred on Wednesday evening, which left one person injured.
Police received reports of gunfire just before 6 p.m. on Cherry Street North. When officers arrived and searched the area, they discovered three spent shell casings, one live round, and blood on the sidewalk.
A short time later, a person with a gunshot wound showed up at Mission Hospital. Thankfully, officials reported that the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
