A fugitive from Georgia was arrested in Asheville, North Carolina, on Sunday for drug-related offenses, according to the Asheville Police Department.
Officers were conducting enforcement on Klondyke Avenue at about 8:51 a.m. when they came across 37-year-old Royce Martin Pouncey sitting in a parked car. After further investigation, police discovered that Pouncey was in possession of 27.5 grams of methamphetamine. Additionally, he had an active fugitive bench warrant from Georgia.
Pouncey was arrested and charged with felony possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has been booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility with a secured bond set at $34,000.
