YMCA Youth in Government Conference Held at the State House
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The YMCA recently hosted its annual Youth in Government and Model Legislature Conference at the State House. This event offers a great chance for middle and high school students to engage in the democratic process and work together to address community issues.
Now in its 35th year, this conference stands out as the third largest of its kind in the United States, drawing nearly 1,800 students from across the state. Participants were able to debate various topics and share ideas, fostering a strong spirit of cooperation and civic engagement among young leaders.
