Sumter Organization Needs Community Support to Restock Food Pantry
SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) — Sumter United Ministries is reaching out to the community for assistance as their food pantry is running low on supplies. The organization has reported a significant increase in the number of people seeking help, especially with the holiday season approaching.
To continue their efforts in supporting those in need, the pantry is asking for donations of non-expired food items. Items that are especially helpful include jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats, frozen meats, and other protein-rich foods.
Donations can be dropped off at the organization’s location at 36 S. Artillery Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
For anyone with questions, please call 803-775-0757. Your support can make a difference in the lives of many families in the community.
