Prime Video’s popular series “Fallout” is set to welcome Macaulay Culkin, known for his role in “Home Alone,” in a recurring character for its second season. Though details about Culkin’s character remain under wraps, sources describe it as a “crazy genius type.”
The show is inspired by the well-known video game franchise and takes place 200 years after an apocalyptic event. The story follows inhabitants of luxurious fallout shelters who must venture back into a harsh and irradiated world that their ancestors abandoned, revealing a bizarre, intricate, and often violent new universe.
Culkin has recently lent his voice to “The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy” and appeared in multiple episodes of “The Righteous Gemstones.” He was also part of the cast in “American Horror Story: Double Feature.”
The series features a talented cast led by Ella Purnell, along with Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Walton Goggins, and several others. Earlier this year, “Fallout” received 17 Emmy nominations, including for outstanding drama series and outstanding lead actor for Goggins, ultimately winning one award for outstanding music supervision.
The show was created and is run by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy also serve as executive producers through Kilter Films, which is in partnership with Amazon. Notably, the series quickly gained popularity, attracting 65 million viewers in just 16 days after its first season premiered on April 10. Given this success, a second season was swiftly approved.
