Tori Spelling recently shared a memorable holiday experience on her podcast, where she revealed a surprising kiss with actor John Corbett during one of her family’s Christmas parties. The actress, now 51, reminisced about the encounter with Corbett, who later became well-known for his role as Aidan Shaw on the hit show “Sex and the City.”
Spelling explained that at the time, her father, Aaron Spelling, would often invite new talent to their family gatherings as he was always on the lookout for fresh faces for his television projects. John Corbett attended one of these parties and the two seemed to connect instantly. She recalled, “I remember having a kiss with him Christmas Eve,” noting that it was a brief but meaningful moment.
Corbett had already gained some recognition from the show “Northern Exposure” around that time, and Spelling’s father had considered casting him for a project, which ultimately didn’t materialize. The kiss occurred as Spelling was seeing Corbett off after the party, described as a “full” kiss, although it didn’t last long.
In a more personal reflection, Spelling spoke about her relationship at the time, mentioning that she was involved with Vincent Young but felt foolish for not fully reciprocating Corbett’s interest.
In recent updates, Spelling has shared insights about her life following her separation from her husband, Dean McDermott. She emphasized that their relationship remains amicable as they continue to co-parent their children. She mentioned, “In Hollywood, people think divorces have to be ugly, ours are not. We co-parent really well, we’re good friends, and he’s one of my biggest supporters.”
Despite the challenges of balancing her career and being a mother of five, Spelling expressed gratitude for the support from her children. She described the journey as tough but rewarding, reflecting a positive attitude as she navigates her responsibilities.
