Man Charged with Kidnapping in Spartanburg County
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — A man in Spartanburg County faces serious charges after allegedly kidnapping his girlfriend. Authorities reported that 32-year-old Dawk Dawkins forced his way into his girlfriend’s mother’s home on November 13. He kicked in the door and compelled the woman to leave with him.
The mother of the victim informed the police that her daughter had been staying with her due to previous incidents of domestic violence involving Dawkins.
Law enforcement later found both Dawkins and the victim at his residence. As a result, Dawkins has been charged with several offenses, including malicious injury to property, domestic violence, second-degree burglary, and kidnapping.
