President-elect Donald Trump had a positive experience after meeting Italy’s conservative Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni among other global leaders in Paris. Trump referred to Meloni as a “real live wire,” highlighting her energetic demeanor during their encounter at the reopening of the historic Notre Dame Cathedral.
Speaking about the meeting, Trump shared, “It was great. She has a lot of energy.” He noted that they spent significant time together, including dining side by side during a reception with around 60 world leaders.
Trump expressed satisfaction with the gathering, recalling that many of the leaders present were familiar faces from his previous term in office. He remarked on their shared goal of helping to “straighten out the world a little bit.”
Since being elected in 2022, Meloni has made her mark as Italy’s first female Prime Minister and has emerged as a leading conservative figure in Europe. Recent polls indicate she enjoys strong popularity among national leaders across the continent.
