An earthquake was recorded in Centerville, South Carolina, on Wednesday evening, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The tremor occurred at 7:35 p.m. and registered a magnitude of 1.0, with a depth of six kilometers.
The USGS noted that the earthquake was located approximately 5.7 miles south of Centerville, about 7.3 miles south of Summerville, and around 8.9 miles west of Hanahan.
