SusMaTech has launched its first synthetic laboratory at the Spark Space within the Spartanburg Community College Downtown Campus. This company aims to replace nonrenewable specialty chemicals with environmentally friendly alternatives.
Owner Russell Stapleton expressed excitement about the new facility, stating, “We are thrilled to unveil our first R&D laboratory here in downtown Spartanburg. This unique space is an ideal location to develop new technologies and the talent needed for the success of SusMaTech. We aim to build upon the strong materials science and manufacturing base that already exists here in Spartanburg by injecting new technologies and developing greener options for our customers.”
The new laboratory will focus on fostering innovation and speeding up SusMaTech’s entry into the sustainable specialty chemicals market. It will also work on creating new products and processes, as well as engaging with both customers and academic institutions for collaboration.
