Columbia, S.C. — South Carolina’s Attorney General, Alan Wilson, is urging the federal government to take stronger action against robocalls that continue to plague residents.
Wilson’s office announced that he has partnered with a group of 46 bipartisan attorneys general who are pushing the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to enhance the current robocalls mitigation database. The coalition aims to close a loophole that allows scammers to misuse the nation’s telephone network.
These efforts are part of a wider call for the federal government to implement more effective measures to combat the growing issue of robocalls, which have become increasingly frustrating for many citizens.
