Construction has started on a new industrial park in southern Greenville County, named SouthPoint Commerce Center. This $23 million project will feature six buildings with sizes ranging from 15,000 to 80,000 square feet, offering both warehouse and flexible spaces. The industrial park is situated on 25 acres close to the South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center, specifically at 812 and 820 Antioch Church Road.
In September, Boyett Properties Inc., a real estate developer based in Greenville, began the groundwork for this ambitious project. Several companies, including KEEL Concepts, CBRE, The Pentreath Co., and SeamonWhiteside, are collaborating on this venture. The construction will be completed in stages, with the first buildings expected to be ready by April 2025. The overall construction timeline is estimated at 18 months to two years.
In other local news, a new Italian restaurant named Tavola has opened in BridgeWay Station as of September 24. This establishment is the latest offering from Table 301 and marks its first location outside of downtown Greenville. At Tavola, diners can savor authentic Italian dishes, including freshly made pasta, steaks, and seafood, all prepared by executive chef Beau Owens and chef de cuisine Troy Arnold. The restaurant welcomes guests from 4 to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday at 620 BridgeWay Blvd., Simpsonville.
Additionally, the City of Mauldin has approved a franchise agreement with Ripple Fiber, an internet provider from Charlotte, North Carolina, aiming to improve internet access in the Carriage Run neighborhood off Holland Road.
